Who is Managing Safely for?

 

Managing Safely is designed for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation worldwide. The IOSH certificate is a recognised international certificate and gives managers and supervisors the knowledge   and tools they need to tackle the health and safety issues they are responsible for.

The IOSH course covers several subjects, which will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage the health and safety of others. You will partake in a range of classroom discussions, case studies, presentations, a quiz – risk assessments and practical work project.

Cost is £430 + vat per person

IOSH Managing Safely workbook and certification is included.

IOSH Managing Safely includes 7 study units:

Unit 1: Introducing managing safely

Unit 2: Assessing risks

Unit 3: Controlling risks

Unit 4: Understanding responsibilities

Unit 5: Understanding hazards

Unit 6: Investigating incidents

Unit 7: Measuring Performance

 

Learning outcomes of IOSH Managing Safely course:

  • Understand the importance of managing health and safety in the workplace

  • Define the key terms relating to health and safety

  • Understand how to assess, reduce, identify, and control risks in the workplace

  • Measure health and safety within your own workplace

  • Apply best practice principles to your organisation’s health and safety systems

 

Assessment: 

To pass the course, you must complete an exam containing a selection of multiple-choice questions and written answers. Candidates must also undertake and pass a practical Project.
