Traffic Management and Vehicle Banksman (In-house)

Course content:

 

The purpose of this course is to ensure that site-based traffic management is planned and implemented safely. The course provides attendees with an understanding of the risks related to the movement of vehicles on site.

  • The roles and responsibilities of colleagues involved

  • Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974

  • The Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015

  • Setting safety standards and work procedures

  • Working within the relevant health and safety regulations

  • The terminology of traffic management

  • Pedestrian and vehicle routes

  • Inspection of vehicles

  • Signalling

  • Risk Management

  • How to layout the site safely

  • identifying risks and hazards

  • selection and suitability of equipment and vehicles

  • administering signals to drivers clearly and safely

  • The responsibilities of a banksman

  • The requirements, duties and tasks that come with the role
